Waterfall jacket from embroidered tablecloth

Yup, you read right. I made this jacket from an embroidered tablecloth that I’d got for a couple of quid in one of the charity shops here. I loved the tablecloth, but it was never meant for my table, not the right style.

The pattern is from Burda, one of the download patterns. It was really tricky to cut, because the tablecloth was just about enough fabric, but not enough to cut without a serious amount of piecing and of ignoring lines. I love how it turned out.
