To celebrate the cinema première last month, I made this embroidery for the director of the fantasy series Ren, the girl with the mark, which is available to view online for free.
The design is the Kah’Nath symbol, one that I got to know quite well while making a costume for the series in 2014, and the inside shapes were taken from a Bronze Age metal artefact found in Scotland. The embroidery is mainly silk filament shading in black and two greys on black silk.
